driven by a singular mission: to harness the power of actuarial science for social impact. Our journey began with the belief that insurance and actuarial science, when applied with precision and purpose, can be a force for good.
Our founder
Arpita Das is the Founder & Director of Impact Actuarial based in Dublin, Ireland. With more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and international development, she is a seasoned actuary and a passionate advocate for universal access to insurance as a catalyst for sustainable development.
Formerly Senior Actuary at Allianz Partners and CVP & Actuary at New York Life Insurance, Arpita’s expertise spans product design, pricing, underwriting, inforce management, asset liability management, modeling, data analytics, risk management, regulatory reporting, and compliance on a global scale.
Arpita's commitment to the actuarial profession and sustainable development is reflected in her role as member of the International Actuarial Association Inclusive Insurance Forum and past positions as member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Actuaries, and as Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Actuaries Without Borders.
Arpita is an internationally recognized thought leader and speaker on actuarial science, financial inclusion, and sustainable development, with past engagements in Ireland, Zimbabwe, Lebanon, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, the US, and the Philippines.
In 2021, Arpita launched Impact Actuarial to bring together insurance expertise, sustainable development principles, and a holistic global perspective in providing curated actuarial services for impact.
